308 win vs 7.62x 51 brass

Recommended Posts

I have some range pick up 7.62x51 brass I picked up. I have a good load for my 308 brass using Reloader 15. I know 762 brass is sometimes thicker and less capacity. Will it be enough to cause a problem or should I back up my powder charge when using 7.62 brass? I have read both ways.

I would reduce the charge a grain or 2 in 7.62 brass. Some people like 7.62 brass but, I've never been impressed by it.

Heads up, there was Blazer  and Remington 9mm ammo at the Clarksville Rural King today.
$10 something for 50 rounds of Blazer and $11 something for the Remington.
Not a lot and will not be there long.

What is brass going for these days?  I have a 5 gl jug full of 5.56 and 1 full of 7.62.  Thinking of selling it but was looking to see what a fair price is first.  Thanks guys
