Aimpoint PRO opinions if you care to say.........................

This is the most $ I've ever paid for any optic but I wanted a quality unit sitting on top of a quality rifle. I replaced a Vortex Strikefire II that now sits on top of my Rock River 9mm carbine.

I’ve seen more aimpoints used hard over the years than any other optics.

The Aimpoint sights on weapons used in Afghanistan and Iraq were put through their paces and came out with amazing durability validation.  I'm a Vortex fan, but would never hesitate to slap an Aimpoint on a gun I own instead if tough was a primary concern.

I don't think you're going to find many opinions of the PRO being a bad choice.  People will say there are cheaper alternatives and you get more "bang for your buck" with other options, but nobody will doubt that the PRO is one of the most reliable red dot options available.

I ran the military equivalent of one for a while in Iraq before switching to an Acog. I never had any complaints and neither did anyone else that ran them.  I also had the PRO for a while on a personal rifle and always did great. It's a battle proven optic and a solid choice in that style of optic.

I like the M4 but not for 800 bucks. Its just a red dot and as long as your with a legit brand backing you up, you’ll be happy. I’m a part time operator only because my wife works and I need to fix dinner. A dot is a dot unless you have an astigmatism
