Ok, Now it/s time to panic.

So all the liquor is selling out, and all the gun parts are selling out. So... people are staying at home, building guns….drunk. We should see some really special Covid-19's in various calibers being offered for sale here pretty soon. 🙃

Did yall hear about the guy from Chattanooga that has bought 17,000 bottles of hand sanitizer? He drove a few hundred miles buying it up, thinking he's gonna make a killing on it. I don't think it's worked out for him, like he thought. I hope he has to drink the crap.

Not 1700, 17000. 😮

Many of my wife's coworkers are gen x and boomers. They eat out at least twice a day and complain about being broke.

My wife and I are in our 30's are we cook at home. We're not all helpless.

No kidding.  I'm a millennial, but anyone can search for the Gun Owning Cooks thread and realize I'll be just fine as long as I have a hot stove and some ingredients.

Well as usual I'm late to this party too. I was watching the news and it was like watching the moneys at the zoo in grocery stores and warehouse stores. I was wondering how long it would take before the stores began putting limits on many items and adding new limits everyday on products. On Monday my daughter went to Sam's in Hendersonville and then the one is Antioch and then she called me to inform me that they were out of Toilet paper and water so I asked he if there was any cases of Kleenix Tissues and she said yea and I said get 2 cases and then I asked her if there were any paper napkins and she said yes and I told her to get 2 cases of those also. Just as good as toilet paper as far as I'm concerned. Then on Wednesday we went to Walmart in Lebanon and they had about 500 cases of water in the entrance and store was well stocked with limits on many items.  It was announced that the manufacturers of  paper products has increased their production to keep up with demands and with the limits in stores things should be back on shelves soon.

I believe these shortages are just temporary and stores will restock within just a few days.  However, if this virus spreads as predicted, somewhere down the line factories and transportation may start shutting down. Then serious. long term shortages may happen. All we can do is wait and see.

We’re (truck drivers) still out and about on the road, the stores are still getting restocked. So no need to sweat it too much right now.

I wouldn’t think with a trailer full of toilet paper you would have to worry much when crossing the scales. And…those toilet paper trucks should be making pretty good time.

I’m hauling a reefer trailer so I’m generally hauling stuff to refill that meat counter or the pharmacy.

That's good to hear. Some of my drivers we're already talking about calling out, asking if they would still get paid. My friend at J.B. Hunt said some of their drivers were already calling off. Maybe when all this is said and done, people will appreciate your profession a little more.
