I've only used Harris bipods in the past and always found them to be well built and reliable. I've seen cheaper knock-offs but tend to like to pay and cry just once rather than go cheap and have to pay and cry again.

This is the 7.62x39 I dont have the bipod on the .308 yet....anyone got any bipod recommendations? The .308 Saiga looks pretty similar but has a 22" barrel

I've got the Shooter's Ridge (Harris clone) that Wal-mart sells for $40 ($60 at Sportsman's Warehouse) and have had no issue with it. It served bench duty on my 7.62 in its pre-converted state and is now mounted on my .22. No complaints for what I paid...especially since it just sits there on the table. You may even look into a bench rest if thats all you want it for.

I added a Yankee Hill BUIS, forend rail and vertical grip to the AR. These are probably the extent of the add-ons that it will see.

I like it. :koolaid: Very nice looking rifle, and really like the KISS concept. ;)

Geez, Loki so you saying if i could make it to the 19th id get to shoot that beast. I am a Major fan of AK varients as long as they are are not degraded with tacticool rails (still like those just not as much). I prefere an ak to be rusting in minor areas, the varnish all worn down, And some shiny steel showing on the body. I love how you can tell a bit about a person by what gun they shoot and the stuff they put on them.

I would add a picure of my gun but its airsoft so it doesnt count.:koolaid:

You make it on the 19th Jack, and you can shoot both those beasts.

The pics make the AK look a lot prettier than it is. The wood has scratches, and the finish is worn in places. I shoot the thing, it's not for "display".

We just finished the conversion to the Saiga. It now takes a 30 round mag. Counldn't stand her being "Nuetered".
