Colt 6920 AR?

Recommended Posts

I own one AR type rifle. But I'm really not much of an AR guy. I know very little about them. Recently I saw an ad for a Colt 6920 at $1000. In the past I've noted that this particular model seems to always be priced high. Sometimes over $2000.    I'm not interested in buying one, just curious. What makes the 6920 model so special?

I'll gladly put up my PSA premium m4 w/ FN chrome lined barrel against any stock out of the box Colt 6920 out there as far as reliability and accuracy. I only paid $679.00 OTD for it last summer.

Nothing. Like Garufa said Colt announced last year they will quit selling to the public because they have big U.S. and foreign military contracts. Some think it will be worth more when the supply that is the chain is exhausted.

Colt doesn’t care about private citizens; haven’t for years. There are a lot better choices.

They used to be a “standard” that was of the better quality for a certain price point.

I have seen them around $1,100, half that, and twice that.

Now that there are so many, many options available, I wouldn’t consider them a “standard quality starter” anymore.
