Man! That was close! Looks like our yard back in '04. We had 6 trees down then. I worked all summer on cutting and cleaning it up. But I was in much better shape then and could walk straight without a cane and could use a chainsaw.

These days, I'm lucky if I can walk to the mailbox without falling. lol

Really, if anything I can do...call.

20 trucks in my neighborhood today.  Out of state crew set a bunch of new poles.

Still no power - but it’s looking better than it did.

I bribed a union crew (my kids) with Sonic to help with the tree that we lost.  They took a bunch of breaks but got the job done.

The price of generators shot up like ammo, you might need to wait awhile.

I don’t mean to laugh, but I remember in Illinois we had a very bad ice storm. Power was out to most areas for days. Semi’s pulled into the parking lot of the local Holiday Inn and were selling portable generators at full retail as fast as they could unload them. And people were happy to get them.

I think about that on occasion and think I need to get a generator. That was over 30 years ago, and I still haven’t bought that generator. :)

No sense making a rash decision.    :)
