FFL needed to ship out of TN?

I have a long gun in TN that IS legally registered in CA. I have a buyer in CA. I have an FFL in CA to which I can ship it and whom will handle all the CA nonsense regarding 10-day waiting periods, background checking, etc.

Question is: Do I need to have it shipped to the CA FFL by a TN FFL? I think CA FFL's would prefer to receive from another FFL rather than a private party.  Any FFLs in the Knoxville area handle such packing and shipping?

Iirc you can ship to the ffl. I believe you have to use Fedex.

Good info Raoul, thank you. Currently I am awaiting instructions on how the receiving FFL requires things.

Checking with the receiving FFL was a great course of action. I'll add, it's worth seeing what a local dealer will charge you to ship. They might do it cheaper than you could via FedEx or UPS. Worth the cost of a phone call, at any rate...
