SGAmmo-Ammoman

Recommended Posts

I bought from Ammoman years ago, then their prices started inching upwards. Even before the current crisis, they were one of the higher priced bulk sellers.

I don't think I ever bought from SGAmmo though. At least it doesn't come readily to memory.

Target Sports USA doesn’t have any 9mm range ammo in stock, they have 9MM quality SD ammo in stock at the regular price of $40 for a box of 50. They have range ammo in .40S&W for $17-18 a box and quality SD ammo for $40 per 50.

Freedom Munitions doesn’t have anything in stock for either caliber.

 And reloading supplies

Sportsmans Warehouse went up $2.00 on their 1K boxes of primers, now $36.99 and they're still mostly sold out.

Firearm-related background checks reached 3.9 million in June, the most since the tracking system was created more than two decades ago amid multiple crises in the coronavirus pandemic, an economic downfall and protests over police brutality and racial injustice.

The lastest numbers are the most since the FBI began tracking such checks in 1998.

More than 19 million checks -- a key barometer for gun sales -- were conducted in the first half of 2020, more than all of 2012 and many years prior. Gun sales usually see an uptick in presidential election years over fears an incoming president could restrict access to firearms.

Over the last decade we've all experienced and witnessed events and periods of ammunition shortages. The two year shortages during the Obama reign taught me a lesson and I had to restrict my match and practice activities to continue on. It was suggested to me by several people, I need to start reloading. Sounds good on the surface until you ask where they're getting their powder and primers from. The point is; if there's an ammo shortage for whatever reason, reloading supplies closely follow.

The way I see it; with the political and social climate these days along with civil unrest, unforeseen events, production, circumstances and socialist political agendas, one of these days the 'perfect storm' will arrive. Think that will never happen?

I never thought in my lifetime I'd see a small minority of radicals dictate the course and laws of the country, and be treated with 'kid gloves' and get their way and support by the liberal news media and Congress. Cities and states opting to disband and de-fund their only source of protection between civilization and anarchy. I won't mention tearing down statues or renaming military bases and much other nonsense; much less the continued and intensifying 2nd Amendment attacks. How much of the population of Canada, Australia, Mexico, etc. can sit down at their keyboards and order bulk pistol and AR ammunition whenever they wish? Why can't they and how did it get that way?

We are in a war for our national identity and survival, government tyranny, radical civil rebellion and the freedoms hard earned by millions of patriots [and families] sweat, blood and tears. We are squandering it away piece by piece and losing the battle one step at a time. How many more times will we be afforded the opportunity to stock up on "things" at reasonable prices and availability??? I suggest next Novembers elections will determine the major concerns we share. We're no longer Unified States of America, much less the 'United States of America'. We're a house divided and the republicans, conservative's and patriots are always playing defense and never going on the offense. As a nation, we're sheep being willingly lead to the slaughter.

We vote with our feet, and they're trying to dismember even our feet at the polls with their antics such as; ridding us of the electoral college, voter fraud, illegal alien voting, eliminating in person one day voting and so much more.

Shew wee, what a long rant... It's OK, I just swallowed a handful of chill pills.

Dennis I think you wrote what a lot of people are thinking and discussing in their close circles. I certainly don't wish this to happen, but I am afraid there will be some violent conflicts soon if these "peaceful protesters" that are looting, burning, attacking cops and civilians and closing down interstates aren't arrested and put into the pokey for quite awhile. And if things aren't crazy enough, the black guy driving the Jaguar in Seattle on I-5 was arrested for hitting the little idiots blocking an Interstate highway. I am sorry that 1 was killed and 1 serious injuries, but if you stand in the interstate, there is a good probability you may encounter a vehicle that may not see you in time to avoid hitting you. Enough is enough and what is really crazy is the people in Britain, France, Australia and others are protesting. I'm sorry, but they ain't got a dog in this hunt. Best advice for all is to keep praying for this nation, because we can't do it alone!!

Got a call from a member today asking for small pistol primers. Seems that stocks are virtually non-existent. Told me materials for manufacture of primers are also not to be had.

So the reloaders are going to be hit harder this go-round.

Nope. I'm a bloody boyscout. I have a fondness for Obummer. He taught me a very valuable lesson.

So you're the hoarder with all the components! Probably sitting on 500000 primers and 1000s of pounds powder!

That being said...wise man!

Let's just say I'm good to go. It's nice to just grab an ammo can when I go shoot and not ever go ammo shopping.

Last ammo I bought locally was some bulk 100/250 round boxes when WW announced their intention to stop selling pistol ammo. Hadn't planned on that for the trip, but force of habit always made me loop by the sports section just to see what was left in their cases.

Found 5 boxes of 45 and must have been a dozen or so of the UMC 250 9mm. I didn't get greedy...thank you. I only took 3 of the 45 and 5 of the 9mm.

Just for emergencies...you know. lol
