Just ordered a Lee 1000

Recommended Posts

96 bucks recon from Lee direct. 2 year warranty and includes everything for .45 acp. I know you guys are saying get a turret, or a full manual, but this can be used as a single shell reloader until I am comfortable with the process.

Anyways, thought you guys might wanna know.

Later, BH.

Ordered some bullets tonite... 180 grain Oregon Trail Laser-Cast SWCs.... Cost me about $55 on the thousand, and I have read some VERY high praise of this bullet in combination with Hogdon TiteGroup in 1911s. According to all I have read they feed very well, have accuracy near or the same as jacketed bullets of the same general dimensions, and with the loading recipe I got is a very light target load.

best of luck!! Pay attention to detail. Sometimes its the little things that hoses up the whole works. My brother when he started reloading got ahead of himself and didnt load powder in one shell and it stuck in the barrel of his 1911 and when the second one struck it it took out his barrel. Gave him a chance to upgrade to a compensated barrel but it could have been real bad had he not been using the bare minimum loads and cast bullets.
