Thompson Contender Advice

Hi guys. Just wanted to ask a couple of questions tonight. I was at a lgs in Old Hickory just a bit ago, picking up a Taurus pistol. Yeah...laugh all you want.

Anyway, got to looking at a couple of rifles and found myself drawn to particular one. A T/C Compass. I think that was the name. Not a big fan of bolt action rifles, nothing against them. Just never gave them much thought. But I like the way it felt. Lop was perfect for me. Price was pretty great also...sub 300.

So...what you think, is this a good deal? Good first bolt action? Would be a new caliber for me as well...6.5 Creedmore.

Now be kind. I'm seriously thinking about this. I really can't say why. It just calls out.

Oh...btw. The Taurus was a Model 608 38/357 ported revolver. LOL! Yep! Another in the Taurus Stable!
