I thought the same thing until my truck got loaded down with it. Worked great on my food plots.

Yep.  We get up to 100k lbs. bulk delivered at times.  Local Co-Op's will sell it by the bag, and load it in your vehicle ...

What type fertilizer, and was any paperwork required?   I've read where they now have an additive in it that makes it harder to detonate, or at least make it less explosive, but haven't looked to get any in a long time, and would probably do an alternative liquid anyway.

I do a soil sample for all my fields and COOP tells me what I need and load it. One field always needs 200 lbs or so of it among other things. Only paper work is my name on the bill. If I wasn't getting 1500 lbs of other stuff with it, it may be different.

I did that back when I was maintaining a regular food plot, but it was lime I used. Did have some 10-10-10 I got from a neighbor, but I used that around my house for the grass and garden.  At my food plot, I switched to liquid lime pretty quick to use a sprayer, and bought another liquid fertiliser once that I seen advertised.

Just a thought here about the supposed missle. Why did the Fed's shut down the airspace over Nashville if there wasn't a missle? To keep RV's from dropping out of the sky perhaps? Just an observation.

In the event there was another bomb.  Flying debris is a hazard to aircraft.

According to this that didn’t happen until 2:15PM, those would be some late to the party missiles ....

This deadly force stuff could ruin your day if you weren't paying attention.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9089147/FAA-shuts-air-space-Nashville-bombing-military-warns-use-deadly-force.html

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has designated the airspace around the area of Friday's bombing in downtown Nashville as a 'national defense airspace,' threatening 'deadly force' to any aircraft that poses as a possible security threat.

The FAA issued an alert on Friday night stating that an area of one nautical mile would be zoned off, along 2nd Avenue street where the explosion took place.

'Pilots who do not adhere to the following procedures may be intercepted, detained and interviewed by law enforcement/security personnel,' the alert reads.

Civil penalties may be imposed by the FAA, who may also suspend or revoke airmen certification if pilots don't adhere to the restrictions.

In addition to the penalties from the FAA, the U.S. government 'may pursue criminal charges' or 'deadly force' against the airborne aircraft if it is determined that the aircraft 'poses an imminent security threat.'

The restriction are valid until 4.45pm on December 30.

Here is a thought. First after explosion most thought is terrorism. If you have a plane looking to finish the job or do more damage you now stick out heading toward closed airspace. Also keep the nosey media choppers out of the area and I'm sure some of them would love to fly too low and possibly damage something or rotor wash move evidence.

The air traffic communications were disrupted. Antenna sites and facilities use landlines for backhaul.

True, but I think the TFR mentioned earlier was one issued specifically to the bomb site, as per the NOTAM it was only 1 mile in diameter ...

I notice most folks are fixed on a fertilizer bomb but I have another idea that might throw a wrench into that idea. The guy was an electronic wizard to people that knew him. Fertilizer is one option but you would also need something such as diesel fuel in large amounts. The RV was not squatting so it would not appear to have that kind of weight in it. Now with all the construction going on in Nashville that means there would be a few trailers of Gelatin explosives setting around town and in them that require blasting caps to detonate so they must be kept in a different location. With this guys electronic abilities, he could have made this own blasting caps  capable of setting of Gelatin dynamite. In my opinion he used something other than Fertilizer to blow himself and the RV up. Authorities have not said to the best of my knowledge just what he used to cause the explosion.....JMHO.

The Tennessean is running the same story, claiming they have obtained documents.

Same same.  Snopes just reprinted.  I have avoided Snopes, they are far too liberal with their fact checking for me.

I feel the same way about the Tennessean, but both them and the AP are saying they have documents. So I’m guessing they may have the Police reports.
