Hello. Looking to the Future....

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

in the process of purchasing property in Hardeman County for future relocation from up north and eventual retirement. Can anyone here guide me in the direction of what is allowed for shooting practice on ones own county property. Will have at least 75 acres to utilize for occasional range practice and no problem as it has natural berms and some great rolling hills. Any guidance or information as to who to contact to get answers is greatly appreciated. Andy

If the property is not in a city limits (Bolivar, Middleton etc) you can shoot with no issues legally. Complaints from neighbors could happen depending on  distance and personalities. You must do it safely of course.

The county Sheriff would be the place to direct questions.

Thanks Miltech. The property is outside of Grand Junction and is not in City limits. Of course, safety is a top priority. I will reach out to the Sheriff as well for a definitive answer, just wanted to ask here to see if anyone had experience (good or bad) in that County. Thanks again!
