95 year old man and his father's 1911 service weapon from WW1?

I doubt that the penal system is equipped at all to deal to a 95-year old who needs assisted living arrangements. Just guess, I would think they'll send him right back to another similar facility, but without access to any weapons. It seems odd that he was allowed to keep firearms at all in a place like that, and another guess is that the staffer's family is going to sue the facility.

I agree, but my opinion is worth little, the odds he will spend time anywhere but possibly a more mental care ward, are slim I think.

I have unfortunately, had to see family and friends in similar care facilities. How he was allowed, or hid a weapon in such a situation is really strange.

Even in assisted living units, I'd darn near guarantee a quiet search is done on possessions. My father-in-law was in one for a short time and had his pocket knives taken.
