WTS: Browning Hi-Power SOLD GONE BYE

Recommended Posts

SOLD. Location is Murfreesboro.  Must be TN resident.  No paperwork.

Serial number starts in 245 and date code is PV (85).  There are no other obvious  import marks on this gun.

Picked this up in trade about a month ago.  Took it to the range once and it ran 100% reliably with about 100 rounds.  I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of hammer bite from this style hammer and the trigger was very good compared to other BHPs I’ve shot.  Trigger breaks at exactly 5 lbs.  I just don’t have time to shoot like I used to and need to thin out my collection.  When I do shoot, it’s going to be with Glocks or SAO CZs.

I admittedly know very little about Hi-Powers, so I’m copy/pasting the exact description over from the original purchase.  I added VZ Grips, changed out the recoil spring, bought 10 mags, and gave it a good cleaning.  There is some finish wear on the slide and safety.

I’m not really looking for trades, as I need to get rid of stuff.

Includes:
Pistol
(2) 15 round Mec-Gar mags and (1) 13 round Mec-Gar mag (used)
Wood and VZ grips
2 kydex holsters. (LEATHER HOLSTER HAS BEEN SOLD)
Bag of misc springs

Available to buyer but not included at package price:
(10) unused 13 round Mec-Gar mags (paid $250 shipped/taxed)

$800 or $1000 INCLUDES ALL MAGS, and we are near/at a “you come to me” price now.

Description from original purchase:
Purchased this Israeli surplus Brown Hi-Power from Aim Surplus in March of 2016 and immediately gave it to my local smith who replaced all the internals with Cylinder and Slide parts and Wolff Springs, removed the magazine disconnect, fit a Commander-style hammer, fabricated an extended safety, added a wide Combat Trigger to it, and performed a phenomenal trigger job. He also cut down the front sight, cut it for 1911 front sights, and fit an XS Big Dot front sight with a 10-8 .156 (opened to .180 U-Notch to fit the Big Dot) rear.  It was then Cerakoted SOCOM Blue and has some thin Cocobolo grip panels installed.  I’ve also put some Talon Grip tape on the front and rear straps and under the trigger guard.

Can include several holsters including an amazing Privateer Holsters leather OWB if interested for additional cost.  LEATHER HOLSTER HAS BEEN SOLD

ETA: Been asked this a couple of times.  There are no import marks on it.
