Feedback on my first shells

Recommended Posts

I finally got my press dialed in & have 2 complete shells. I know guys can tell a lot by the crimp, so... The 2 20g shells on the left are factory, my first & second shells are next to them. The second being closest to the factory shells. The press is currently dropping .65oz instead of the .75 I’m after. I had used some 2 part epoxy to decrease the internal diameter slightly to get from 7/8oz to the desired 3/4ox. Also, I am adjusting the wad seating pin, I had lowered the pin for the shell on the right & raised it slightly for the left shell. I’m wondering how far exactly to seat the wad onto the powder. Does it need to compress the powder or will the final crimp put the correct pressure on all the components? Thanks
