Anybody seein any small pistol and small rifle primers..?

Recommended Posts

Yeah if you want to sell your first born and a kidney. I'm about tired of the gouging that's going on. I believe a person needs to make a profit, but these prices are ridiculous, I was on Gunbroker just looking and 5000 Small Pistol Primers were going for $995 - $1500 with four or more days left in the auction. It's cheaper for me to buy ammo than reloading components nowadays. If I had any believe me I would help you out and it would only cost you a( big toe) just kidding but if I did I'd offer them to you for what I paid for them, I guess I need to sell all my LG Pistol Primers and I could retire comfortably, or buy more guns.

I picked up 2000 CCI Large Pistol Primers at Sportsman's Warehouse in Southhaven, MS for $44.50 per thousand and a 1000 CCI Small Pistol Primers at Bass Pro for $54.75 in Memphis last week.

I looked on Academy's website today and it said they had primers. All types. I went over to Cookeville, and the guy looked at me when I asked him like I was an alien. They've not had any at all. I think whoever does their website needs to remove their head from their nether region.

Their website inventory listings is all over the place. I will say to filter out Out of Stock, and still get told things are out of stock when I click on them in the list.  Sometimes on ammo though, I think if it says limited stock that they are holding back a few boxes for gun buyers. I got to buy 2 100 round boxes from out of the back when I bought my 10/22.

One employee told me that they scanned in a high end gun one morning and it added 2 to the inventory. Plus a guys standing there had gotten an email his gun had arrived when they had no ETA on it coming in at the store.

I did run into some LP primers at Academy a few weeks ago and bought my limit of 300. $5.50 per hundred maybe. First ones I have seen in a year maybe. Guy seemed totally surprised they got some in.

Yeah, harder than Chinese math to find  right now. I would probably sell my first born but, a kidney, I don't know.

Those of us that have more primers than they will ever need to loosen up.  Heck, I was selling to Tennessee guys primers last winter for $40.00 a brick, any favor.  Just donated a brick of 209 shot shells primers to a collage student trying for the Nationals.  Come on guys, this is the Volunteer State.  The more of us that have ammo, the lesser chance of someone ( foreign or domestic) taken away our gun rights.

Domestic instability doesn't lend itself to altruism. I've spent the last 15 years maintaining a certain level of hand loaded ammo. I'm not greedy and I haven't accumulated a crazy amount of reloading supplies. But I have enough that I am not a contributer to this current hoarding frenzy. And I should be able to limp through the Crazy Joe administration without depriving any of you lessor prepared folks the ability to stalk Wal-Mart on a daily ammo run.

leroy...

I listed 9mm components awhile back, cases, primers and coated 127 gr Brass Monkey projectiles. But no one seemed interested so I took them off.

I was just at Bass Pro in Memphis on Sycamore View and they have CCI Small Pistol Primers.  Two weeks ago I purchased a box and it was $54.50.  They are selling these at $70.00 + per 1000.  I had to pass but if anyone needs any they do have several right now.
