Doe rescues rabbit from swooping hawk

Last time he plays with his food!

Distinct possibility the deer was using the rabbit for bait with the way she was on it.

The deer not only spared the rabbit but was not going to let any other deer near it was what seemed odd also. That doe had a run in with a hawk before at one time or another evidently. Still very interesting video to say the least.

 This would be my opinion also. I don't think it had anything to do with the rabbit but pure hatred of the hawk and finding one that she could get to,  gave her a chance for a payback.

Don't underestimate a doe deer and her razor sharp hooves. Evidently somewhere in the past a hawk had swooped down on her. I recently saw a video where a guy was showing all the animals that kill turkeys. He had a bobcat, coyote, and a big hawk swoop down and knock over his decoy.
