Hollow Point load testing and the results.

I do a lot of loading and testing. Thought these results may be of interest to some. I always enjoy hearing others results as well. This test was done at 30'. I used CFE Pistol powder and CCI 500 primers. All shots were fired from a Ransom Rest. I did target and ballistic gel tests. The rounds you see were taken from the ballistic gel. All averaged 12"-15" penetration. The V-Crowns and Gold Dots mushroomed out very well and had great weight retention. The RMR hollow points are very accurate but the jacket fragments quite a bit on impact. The Hornady XTP is a bone crusher. Everything was loaded on Dillon 650s with a Mighty Armory sizing die.

Good pics and bullet performance. I've been loading 9mm for a few months. But, not loaded anything but cast so far. Been meaning to load some good JHP.

I use XTP 124 gr in my 9mm as well. Great stuff. Also used XTP in my 40 &W when I had one. Got rid of it & gave 3300+ rds I had loaded to the local Sheriffs Dept.  They were glad to get 'em. Ammo is scarce as we all know.
