It matters to people who watch interview shows to help form their opinions.  No one watches Tucker Carlson or Rachel Maddow to find out what happened; they watch to confirm their biases and to validate their views that people on the other side of the political spectrum are stupid, incompetent, and/or immoral.

I don't need tv to know liberals are stupid, incompetent & immoral. I have the Clintons, the Obamas, Pelosi, Schumer, Nadel, AOC, all the Memphis politicians & all the Nashville politicians to prove that beyond any doubt. The perfect example is the current POTUS administration, which stole a national election.

But I do see your point.

Yep, and those on the left have a similarly long list of Republican politicians that they believe prove conservatives are stupid, incompetent, and immoral.  Extremists on both the left and the right cry loudly that their side is good and the other evil...while those who make money off that kind of divisiveness cheer it all on.  Aren't we ready for something better than that?

Stupid & incompetent runs heavily on both sides as is demonstrated daily, IMO. Immoral runs heaviest on the left side, IMO. Hypocrisy seems to be their only sustaining characteristic, IMO.

Sure, we're ready for something better. But who? How? One has to be insane to get involved in politics these days, IMO. Between the media "gotcha" questions, the SJW & PC crowd, a normal person doesn't stand a chance. Someone might've made an off-color joke 25 years ago or cheered for the wrong sports team or some other childish offense for the media to latch onto.

As for the "evil" part, it's pretty easy to show which side is on that particular ride. Just look at the news, see who the usual suspects are & what their politicians are saying about them. Perfect example is MSNBC & CNN calling the recent car killing in Wisconsin as an "accident". Seriously? WTF?????
