Henry "Michael" Williams was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm after authorities say he sold the weapon that Maisal Faisal Akram used when he entered Congregation Beth Israel on Jan. 15 and held the synagogue's rabbi and three others hostage for hours.

"Federal firearm laws are designed to keep guns from falling into dangerous hands. As a convicted felon, Mr. Williams was prohibited from carrying, acquiring, or selling firearms. Whether or not he knew of his buyer’s nefarious intent is largely irrelevant — felons cannot have guns, period, and the Justice Department is committed to prosecuting those who do," said U.S. Attorney Chad E. Meacham in a statement.

I would love to see how many other felons with firearms he's charged? I doubt it's very many unless the media is watching his news conference.

Yea I routinely see a rap sheet for some thug and they have multiple possession of a firearm by a felon. Unless they make the penalty stiff enough, they will continue to break the law. If they would give them about 25-50 years for possession of a firearm by a felon, that would slow it down quite a bit!! The slap them on the wrist and crap don't work.

Williams told investigators that Akram told him he intended to use the gun to intimidate someone who owed an outstanding debt,

So not only did a felon sell this guy a gun, he knew that the buyer intended to threaten someone with it. A criminal act in itself. 🙄 They're gonna bury this guy as well they should. 💩

I hope they do bury him but I bet he will get off with probation or a warning and slap on the wrist. These judges seem to be way to soft on these record  criminals that do the same thing over and over....JMHO
