Hunting/Hiking back pack

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this is considered gear or other, so feel free to move if needed.

Looking for a bag I can use on some overnight hunting or hiking trips. A sizeable bag, not like a day pack, something to live out of for a week or so at a time. I'd like something in some variant of camo, but I'm not real picky on what, even a blotchy military style camo is fine.  Most of the backpacking packs I see seem to be some form of fluorescent color scheme.

I don't have a crazy budget, so I don't need one of these fancy $500 packs. Just looking for something I can use to get back out into the woods.

Post some links or pictures to some packs online that might suit your needs, some of us may be have something on-hand that may work and can possibly work out a deal.  I have packs that range in size, but being prior army my idea of a 3-day pack may not fit a hunters/hikers idea of a 3-day pack.

I was in the army for over 20 years and now work for the army at fort campbell and tell you just off campbell there is a good collection of army surplus stores with a ton of cool stuff, campbell has over 30,000 soldiers there with a high turn over rate (getting out/moving to a different post etc...) they get alot of cool stuff now, I get new boots for like 25.00, state of the art sleep systems for 75.00, of which the army pays over 500.00 for, etc.... make a trip up to clarksville hit a couple of the army stores a good large alice ruck with frame and all for like 60.00, I get all my hunting stuff at these places
