Public land for hunting

Recommended Posts

Would anyone care to point me in the direction of who to speak with about public land that is huntable? Everyone I have talked to knows someone and hunts private land. I'm new and don't have those types of connections but have no problem putting in work on public land.

A bit of a tip: a flat bottom boat with a small engine will greatly increase your chances on public land.

These pack rafts are pretty cool for crossing rivers and big creeks when combined with a backpack too. Weighs less than 5lbs. Especially useful out west on backpack hunts
