Colt Coltsman 30-06 made on FN action worth?

Recommended Posts

Have had my eyes on a early build (late 50s/early 60s) Colt Coltsman in 30-06. I've never seen one in the wild before and I really think i need to personally domesticate this one.

Somebody please educate me to not spend the $800 on this just because I've never seen any but the Sauer-built ones.

Me and my dang wandering eyes.. I wanna touch all the unicorns.

Anybody have any idea or experience with these rifles?

All early Coltsman rifles were made on FN actions while later ones (60's) were made on Sako actions.  Yours was made by either Kodiak Arms or Jefferson Arms.  They made almost all of the early Coltsman on the FN actions. These are generally regarded as good, accurate hunting rifles.
