⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

Never seen the green one.

Yes, they are the rarest of the bunch. Most people think it's very green when in fact it's more of a greenish hue under the correct lighting.  The total number of these originally  produced was about 42k in the beginning of the production of the nylon 66 compared to the millions of the Mohawk brown.

Until I was 35 when I lived in the mountains, I used the Mohawk as a frog gun. Much easier than gigging. I taped a flashlight to the forearm and could do head shots at 15 yards seeing their red eyes glowing. Cow ponds were my favorite haunts where the grass grew next to and in the water. Where I lived there were no cottonmouths, the mean and thoroughly asshole snakes of Tennessee.

One night a buddy and I got 63 big bullfrogs.  That's a lot of big frog legs. He didn't want them to eat. I did. Cleaning 63 bullfrogs after night shooting is a chore, but damn delicious.

It's all in the lighting that you see it in. Most people think it's an actual green like olive or something, but it's a subtle flat. The mohawk brown is Areally noticeable, like a chocolate brown. Attached is a photo of it under led lights of the safe, you can see the green hue.
