Where to shoot mid-TN?

I'm out in the Dickson area, but willing to travel an hour or so. I plan on going to the Cheatham WMA to run some rounds over the chrono and sight in some rifles. That range is not my favorite. I used to love Montgomery County Shooting Complex, but they appear to still be "down" for renovation. I'm on the waiting list for Strategic Edge. Is there anywhere else in the Mid-TN area? For the time being, 100 yard range is fine for sight in, but I would eventually like to stretch some of my rifles out.

I don’t know if found a range yet but it maybe further than you want to drive but there is a range near Lafayette, Tn. called Middle Tennessee Sporting Association. We have 6 pistol bays, 400 yard rifle range and trap range.

I got a new shotgun, shorter barrel size for home defense. I'd like to play with chokes, range, and sights to see what will work best. Turns out finding a place to shoot it that's not clay shooting is pretty difficult! Some indoors allow with slugs only. Most the outdoor don't allow shotgun at all. Found one that allows buckshot. Does anyone know of a place to test birdshot with a stationary, paper target?

Have you tried OK Corral at Woodbury?  They have a pit for shotgun shooting where you can shoot what you like. They also have multiple pistol lanes, 200 yard rifle and clays too!!  All for $10 a day. I like the place.

Another +1 for Stones River. I've been going there while MCSC is closed despite it being a drive. I'll be very happy once MCSC is back open...

Just noticed that you are from Clarksville.  I live in Charlotte and have gone to Cross Creek Clays in Palmyra, TN.  It is an unbelievable facility for shotgun, but a bit pricey.
