Replacing AK 74 sights

Recommended Posts

I know you guys are probably sick of my questions by now, but I got another one. Anyone here ever replaced their ak sights with "glow" ones? Such as these https://kensight.com/tritium-dot-rear-sight-for-all-soviet-ak-74-and-variants-rounded-blade-w-serrations/?fullSite=1

I was thinking about getting something like this instead of a side mount and then a normal mount for my 74. I did look at the top rail conversion as well but now I am lost. I really havent done much with the ak over the years because I never liked the sights on it.

AK sights are very easy. There are plenty of you tube vids that take you step by step. I was looking at a KNS rear for mine. Has windage and elevation much like an AR does then a tritium front since that is all you would really use in the dark anyway.

As for scopes, the side rail is really the only real option. Scout scope on a gas tube-front hand guard combo being a far second best choice.
