Knew a family in Nashville lost a boy like this,Duck hunting on TN River in a boat and dog stepped on shotgun killing the son. The father died soon after from grief.  On a Duck hunt one morning the idiot brother of my hunting buddy dropped us off in the boat and went on to an island across from us and still dark we heard a shot. I later asked him why he opened the season half hour early and he said he ran the boat up on shore jumped out and hit the trigger by mistake.  Last hunt with him.
