Hawk attacks Raptor and looses

Recommended Posts

I had a hawk fly into the side of my truck while going down I65 about 1 year ago.聽 It was just south of the Franklin exit where those sound walls are.聽 It was gliding and went next to the wall and just took a hard right into my truck.聽 Scared the crap out of me.

That's pretty impressive 馃檪

When I was in my early twenties I had a turkey fly across the road in front of me. I hit that thing doing about 50, smack dab in the middle of my windshield. I had glass stuck in my knuckles from where the glass exploded, it sounded like a gun going off in front of me. I ended up pulling the old Ace Ventura driving method to get home. I got my roommate and we went looking for the thing so we could have a turkey dinner, never found it. I wish I still had those pictures.

Something similar happened to me years ago. I was driving home at night after work when a spotted owl (in Washington) hit the lumber rack on my pickup and ended up dead in the bed. I wanted to have it mounted, but no taxidermist would touch it, of course.聽
