Handgun training in Nashville.

Recommended Posts

Jeff Eady taught my permit class years ago at the Stones River Range on Hobson Pike in Nashville.  He was great, but it appears that his website is down so I don't know if he's still offering training classes.  I'm a member of Strategic Edge, but I'm looking for something closer for now.  I'd like to get some real handgun training. Something similar to a Mag40 class with Mass Ayoob or Tiger McKee at Shootrite. I don't think Nashville offers anything like that, so I'm all ears for what we do have around here.  Preferably at Stones River or another outdoor range, but I'll take what I can get.

Cheers

Defensive pistol and EDC series at Royal are both good. Depending where you're at in training would dictate what'd really match what you're looking for. Perhaps doing a private lesson with a more specific parameters to see if you like the instructor(s) there? Currently most of the staff are retired MetroPD (or similar).

If you are wanting something in the Nashville area there is @aqil Aqil Qadir at Citizens Safety Academy. He is a Rangemaster certified Master instructor and teaches the Rangemaster Combative Pistol class now and is a solid dude. He’s one of my favorite people.

If you are willing to come to Chattanooga I’m also a Rangemaster certified Master instructor and I taught for Suarez International for 15 years. My website is Harriscombative.com . You can see the rest of my info like who I have trained with and shooting experience in my bio on the website.

I took my permit class with Jeff too. I also took a lot of other classes he offered over the years too. One of my favorites was a private class with@NoBanStan and some other fellas from work. It was great, the best part was when we got to practice seatbelt drills while shoot from a vehicle and exiting the vehicle to use it for cover. I would never have gotten to practice that anywhere else. I wish he still taught classes.

I have taken several classes with Randy Harris aka Cruel Hand Luke. He has trained with some of the best in the industry and I highly recommend him.

I will certainly look into him. Thanks!

That was a lot of fun. I was telling an LEO buddy about it yesterday. Remember Jeff told gave instructions on how to maneuver in and around his truck and then I said "I notice you didn't mention that we should avoid shooting your truck". LOL. Brave dude just rolling it up in there for live fire.
