A little prayer wouldn't hurt...

Recommended Posts

While not breast cancer, I am also a two time survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (including high dose Chemo and a stem cell transplant). It can be a long tough road, but with prayer faith and family, you can get through this.

I wish the best for your daughter and your family.  My mom, admittedly older than your daughter, has dealt with breast cancer on two different occasions roughly 4 years apart.  She's now 83 years old and doing pretty well.

Likely due to genetics, I, a male, carry the breast cancer blood marker.  For obvious reasons, I'm concerned about my daughter in her 20's.

Our paths are quite similar friend. Same form and treatments. 12 year survivor right now. Have had a recent scare that sent me in for testing again. Blessedly negative.

But more importantly, I add prayers for Sarah and the Grand Torino Family.

I’m also a cancer survivor seven years. I had Esophageal cancer and had half of it removed.

I will pray for Sarah and all her family.
‘Tell her be positive, depression feeds cancer.

May the lord be with you and your family’s,

Sarah gets her first chemo treatment on Monday the 26th for her Stage 2 breast cancer. Doctors/Oncologist are confident she can beat this thing after reviewing all the battery of tests leading up to her prescribed treatment regimen. The family and Sarah are thankful for your thoughts and prayers.

Sounds encouraging. I sure hope they are right!

The sweetest girl in the world, who baby-sat..watched our boys anytime we went out anywhere when they were growing up, has an incurable rare form of a stage 4. Her diagnosis was 10+ yrs ago, and her oldest daughter is graduating this year. She does some type of IV transfusion on a very regular basis at the cancer center, and otherwise has done fantastic.

Continued prayers that they can rid her of this cancer!

Most ppl probably don't realize but your insurance company offers a service to speak with a Case manager that will guide you through the process and help you get the care you need.   I have family that works as a Case manager for BCBS, specifically oncology related.  It wouldn't hurt to find out what her insurance provides, if nothing else than to answer questions.
