Let me start off with saying if you feel unable or unwilling to do the following care instructions then these aren't for you.

Care Instructions

1. Keep your knife clean after each use.

2. You can wash your knife with soapy water.

3. Immediately dry off the knife.

4. Apply mineral oil or vegetable oil after use for long lasting results.

5. NEVER PUT YOUR KNIFE IN THE DISHWASHER!!!

Made from 1/8" thick D-2 steel. Rockwell hardness is 58-60. They have camel bone and G10 handles. I'm not providing a block with these as one of the magnetic style blocks would be best. Your home and style and price range depends on what block you'd like. The magnetic blocks are all over Amazon, Ebay and o places. Price is $225 shipped for the set. I will only sell as a set.

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

The complete Trading Post Rules and also some more helpful suggestions can be found by clicking this link.  Everyone should read them at least once!

Dang these are tempting GT. There's not a day that goes by where I don't use a kitchen knife.

What is the suggested method for keeping a sharp edge and what angle are they ground on ?

I use a commercial kitchen sharpener that does a double bevel edge.

Around 18/20 degrees but I do most of the sharpening on my 2X72 grinder and then use a strop. Easiest way I've found is use a diamond stone and strop to keep them sharp. I don't have a clue about the commercial knife sharpeners but I'm confident it would work on D-2 steel.

If you don't care @Grand Torino when you get time could you list a length for each knife ? Or a rough figure. Assuming you do anymore that would definitely help me in releasing my cash for a set 🙂

From right to left starting with the cleaver

Blade 7 1/4  OAL  11 1/2

           6                   10 3/4

           7                    12 1/4

          4                       8 3/4

Don't remember the last one but I'm not able to get it at this time.

Boy, that was a heck of a deal!

I sell everything on the cheap cause in reality I don't charge much of anything for labor. I'd rather keep making stuff that's fun for me and be able to keep doing the things I enjoy. I'm still learning every time I make a knife. It's also why I don't take many special requests cause I only enjoy making knives I like without the pressure of hoping a customer will like what I make. I'm trying to lead a stress free life.😀
