Ended up with an SKS. New, un-issued, in the cosmoline YUGO. Always wanted one of these. Anyone out there have one? Good/bad experiences?? I hear they are decent and durable for the price. Any input would be welcomed.

I have a yugo made in 1988. I bought it from Big Al's up in Greenville. I don't know how used it was but I have put a few hundred rounds through it and it is a blast to shoot.

Everything works like it is supposed to.

My guess is once you clean it up and shoot you will love it. post a pic when you can.

I like your idea of a "short" list. Ill post pics when I can. I figure it will take at least 2 trips under the pressure washer, 5 through the dishwasher (provided the wife isnt around) and at least 2-3 hrs cleaning to cut all of the cosmoline off of it. Looks like it was submersed int a 55 gallon drum of the stuff. I put it on layaway, so I'll have it in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to taking it to the range. Might even look into one of those golf ball launchers for it if I can track it down. I'll post later when I get it.
