With all the crazy legislation that is being presented it is time for all to voice their concerns on Healthcare, Cap and Trade, 2nd Amendment, Hate Speech Laws and all of our basic freedoms which most take for granted are being eroded etc. Freedome isn't free and its time for everyone to stand up!

Lawmakers' Town Hall Meetings

Aug. 21: Two telephone town halls: one at 11 a.m. and another at 5:30 p.m. To register, visit www.gordon.house.gov or call 615-896-1986.

Aug. 24: Face-to-face office hours, starting at 9 a.m. at the Patterson Park Community Center (521 Mercury Blvd., Murfreesboro 37130).

Aug. 24: Town hall meeting, moderated by the Daily News Journal, at 7 p.m. in Murfreesboro. Location TBD.

Aug. 25: Face-to-face office hours, starting at 9 a.m., at the Putnam County Courthouse (300 E. Spring St., Cookeville 38501).

Aug. 26: Face-to-face office hours, starting at 9 a.m., at the Sumner County Courthouse (100 Public Sq., Room B-100, Gallatin 37066).

Aug. 26: Town hall meeting, moderated by Mike Towle of The News-Examiner at 7 p.m. in Gallatin. Location TBD.

Rep. Jim Cooper has no town hall meetings scheduled.

The telephone town hall meetings are scheduled for Aug. 28 at 2 p.m. and Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.

Sen. Bob Corker held a town hall meeting in Paris Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Henry County Courthouse (101 W. Washington Street, Paris 38242) This event is open the public.

Aug. 18: 3 p.m. at Franklin County Annex in the Community Room in Winchester

Aug. 19: 5 p.m. at Columbia State Community College2.gif in the Waymon Hickman Building in the Cherry Theater in Columbia

Aug. 20: 5 p.m. in Crossville City Hall in Crossville

Aug. 21: 8 a.m. in the Jamestown Community Center in Jamestown

Aug. 21: 2 p.m. in the County Courthouse's Chancery Courtroom in Jacksboro

Aug. 24: 9 am. At Kimball City Hall in Kimball

Aug. 24: 1 p.m. in the County Administrative Building's Magnolia Room in McMinnville
