Every time you buy a box of .357 sig... an angel gets it's wings.

And well... that just makes the extra expense okay by me.

Just WINGS?...crap I figured they got the whole outfit...cloud...halo...harp and robe...as much as .357sig costs:D

Or look at it this way all the good stuff .45,9MM,.38 special and so on are never on the shelf B/C they are the true quality ammo (forget packaging method). While .40 S&W is somehow always available (crappy ammo).

Maybe they package the .40S&W all fancy like to confuse you into buying it!

Also until 2/3 years ago .45 and 9MM were packaged in the styrofoam as well. I guess they decided since they are the best ammo they could package it anyway they want and it will still sell and function as it should.

Thats because the ammo manufacturers don't want to waste their time making anything less than the ever so lethal .40 s&w! ;)

Ammo packaging is now under control of the new Green Packaging Czar. The 9's and 45's just get tossed in a box and ship with no environmentally incorrect plastic or foam due to high demand. Just load and shoot then toss the recyclabel box anywhere. Unfortunatly the 40 is still warehoused with the non green packaging. It'll catch up though..........

why would someone want 3/4 of a bullet just get the 45 acp and you get the whole thing, and arent 40 and 9mm made out of whats left over from making the 45 anyway?

Winchester packs their 7.62x39 in styrofoam as well............guess I should have a pick to add to the thread....maybe tomarrow.;)

While the .40 is treated to the luxuriousness of foam packaging, the 7.62x39 is simply packaged in foam to prevent the .40 from beating up the commie round.
