Guys there are updates to the TGO and HCP Adopt a Roadway group discussions. We need some more members and a few more areas would be nice.

Still looking for regional contacts. Nashville area is covered, I need a secondary contact for Sevier-Knox areas. If your area is not on the thread, we don't have any regional contacts for your area.

Again Just wanted to add, the regional contact would be responsible for:

1: getting the release forms from each volunteer and turning them in prior to clean up

2: making sure the volunteers have watched the video.

3: Picking up and dropping off the trash bags, safety vests from their regional office EDIT: The trash bags are empty. Full bags will be left at roadside.

4: Setting up dates for the trash pick up day

5: Reporting to the regional office about clean ups.

I was - and still may, if needed - take charge of the Nashville/Davidson County area, but I think it would be more beneficial for someone who actually lives in that County to take over leadership. I would then work on my area, Sumner County.

If anyone would like to take charge of the Davidson County crew, please let us know ASAP.

Need more people from the knox/sevier areas, I would like to get something going here too.

Been a busy month for me but I am still trying to help plan this out.

Just wanted to give this thread a little bump.

We are still in the process of getting the ball rolling in a few areas. I am heading-up the Sumner County area, and it appears Gun Geek is doing the same for the Sevierville area.

We still need TGOers who are willing to take charge of their areas and members who are willing to become part of the cleanup crews.

If you are interested, please join the TGO Adopt-A-Highway Group.

I have not looked through the past posts, but I would also suggesting not only roads & neighborhoods, but adopt a TWRA shooting range.  I have hauled truckloads out of Royal Blue several times, yet each time I visit, it needs it again.

So.. Adopt a Range!

Just out of curiosity, do we know what happened to this? Was it successful? I attempted to go to the group discussion and nothing came up.

We adopted the east bound stretch of Hwy 386 from mile marker 4 to marker 6 several years ago and held a cleanup day. There were several of us that were there, there's a thread and photos here somewhere from that day.

I passed the organizer torch and all the supplies to Lagerhead, I really couldn't say what became of the program after that. When I was down in TN back in June our sign was still up on Hwy 386.

Thanks, I think that would be something cool. I was looking through links for the event in 2 weeks and saw this. Thought it was a great idea. But then saw how old it was so I had to ask!
