I think some folks are just angling for a pancake recipe.

Obamas' attempt to shut out Fox (and this isn't a new thing, btw, he has been doing it since the campaign) is the worst attack against free speech in about the last hundred years.

Obamas' "diplomacy" has insulted every ally the US has, put knives in the backs of countries depending on us, and made us the laughingstock of every enemy of the country.

I've yet to find the amendment or section of the Constitution that gives the federal gov't the right to take over and divvy up companies against the wishes of the shareholders, set salaries for company executives, take over major industries... help me out here, guys.

Ah, the heck with it. I could go on, but why bother? I don't want to hear any more lame-arse excuses, personal attacks, strawman arguments or "Hey, look, a pony!". I can get that any time I want to listen to "The Teleprompter of the United States".

jth, don't let these blowhards get to you. I agree with some of the things you wrote. Let's not forget Harriet Miers, "heckuva job Brownie," the first round of bailouts, and ignoring credible evidence about lack of WMD. Those all came from Bush. Now, he certainly was not the worst President ever as commie rags like Rolling Stone magazine like to say. But he did have his share of incompetent moments (heck, he traded Sammy Sosa--way before the juice and the corked bats). But, I must say, he also had moments of great leadership and grace. He made some fine speeches in the days and weeks after September 11. I'm skeptical about the future of this country not because of the current President. The current President is one of the least of the problems, though he may be a contributor. The problems lie with the people, the media, and the sense of dependence and entitlement so many have developed.

I think Bush knew something was up with Sosa a long time ago...have you seen him lately?

I cannot even imagine the crappola that would come out of the Big O's mouth if he had been the pres on 9-11.

The guy is shameful and I cannot being myself to call him my president. I have no respect for him, not one iota.

I was not a W fan, not by a long shot. But he at least is someone I would like to call a friend, have over for a beer, or a four wheeler ride. And actually that is something I look at in a candidate. I want to know they are stand up guys like myself, like Mark and Daniel and the majority of this message board.

Can't stand Obama, not one bit. 2012 cannot come fast enough. Yep 2012 either the end of the world or the last of Obama. Either way works for me.

Based on the above post and the thread linked above I feel no need to respond further to you. Good day.

I have to admit I was wrong when in my thinking, the O is one of the worst presidents we've had. I was just so fed up with the last administration I couldnt stand to vote republican. In the end I voted McCain out of fear, but I wish I had voted for Barr.

I was an uneducated ignorant sheep at the time I said I was leaning towards Obama, and I am embarrassed the words ever came from my mouth. The last election was my first and neither party really backed what I believe so I had some trouble in my decision. I have been reading over the past year and more than likely wont vote Rep or Dem in the next election. Sorry for the derailment, Ill try to keep my controversial opinions to myself in the future and stick to Gun stuff:).

Sounds like jth has smelled the coffee and is and will be educating himself. I hope more people wake up to the situation we are in prior to the next round of elections.

Yeah! From the tone, I'd guess he is pretty young, so he has the burden of the mis-educational system to overcome. Hard road, to dump your indoctrination in favor of reality, and I wish him the best of luck. He has the qualities he needs; honesty and integrity. Everything else is just hard work.

ya know..the next time someone spews the drivel about there not bing any WMDs in Iraq, I'll let them talk to my Kurdish neibhors. I bet they have a completly different viewpoint on the subject.

He had them, he used them, and they DID find chem rockets buried in the desert. CNN didn't like it, therefore it didn't exist. Kind of like telling a child they were wrong...they don't want to hear it so they stick their fingers in the ears and go LA LA LA LA LA.

Kudos jth!...sounds like you are headed down the "right" track. I will NOT tell you to vote Dem or Rep....vote your heart, AFTER research and observation. Dont believe everything you read, vote and live what YOU think is RIGHT.

"I was once told that President Bush sent the family of every soldier killed in action during his two terms a letter, thanking them for their sacrifice. While I was unable to confirm that"

The fact is that there were 4,326 total American fatalities during operation Iraqi Freedom. Look it up, I found that at the Washington Post and I doubt they'd smudge that number. Now, do you really think that president Bush wrote 4,326 letters to the families of the deceased? That's 1.48 letters per day for every day for 8 years. That includes weekends, vacations, trips to other nations, and every other day not spent in the oval office. How many people here have sent 4000 text messages in the past 8 years? I find it very hard to believe that President Bush would have sent anything more than a slip of paper with a stamped signature to the families. I say all of that to say President Bush did a good job of supporting the troops but reporting information like that is reckless at best. If I am unsure of something that can be analyzed statistically I stay away from it. *Yikes, I just realized I did not include any figures from Afghanistan.

Also, I'd like to see more people in this forum be more tolerant of news from all sources. CNN and other "liberal" news networks probably do have agendas, etc.. but if you're willing to recognize that then you should also be willing to recognize the fact that all news networks are businesses (and God willing they'll stay that way). That means that Fox news and conservative networks are not always accurate. Sure, I'm just some young college kid, but I know that the only way I'll be persuaded is through a logical argument that considers the validity of arguments from all sides; right now the closest thing I get to that is by keeping an eye on all networks and several online news feeds and making decisions for myself. I will not allow one person on one network to tell me what I should think because I think that they relate to me best.
