my mossberg 702 plinkster is a great little rifle to shoot but i have a jamming problem,i switched to CCI MINI-MAG ammo and it doesn't seem to jam as often but it still happens,my ? is does anyone have this rifle with the same problems and how would i go about fixing it?thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have one ,the only problems I have had are when I tried to use Winchester ammo it wouldn't feed reliably ,switched to Federal sub sonics and it feeds every time as fast as I can pull the trigger

Just bought one and had that problem Win.1280fps hp's for the first 3 mags, after that no problems. Still has a very gritty trigger, though. May take it apart and do a little polishing on it. If the gun is new, shoot a good 100 rds. of CCI Stingers thru it and it may take to shooting other stuff fine. Also, did you clean that sticky shipping oil off of everything before you started shooting. That stuff seriously drags the bolt down which will cause FTF's and FTE's.

I worked on one today and tuned the extractor a bit and getting good ejection, also ammo is key just like they said but every rifle is different and gonna take some time to figure out what it likes to eat. good luck, oh and try stretching those mag springs might help a little.
