I've been there several times and they've always had freebies. I could be wrong, but their target frames might be just a little small for sillouhettes, the wooden frames could get chewed up.

I thought I saw somewhere that they don’t allow silhouette targets.

That’s all I have. Do they sell targets there or do I need to get some before I go?

You can use them if you fold the head where it cant be seen.

I was told several years ago that the range is a family-oriented range, and they don't want to offend anyone. So, being the smart-ass that I am, I had to ask:

"Since the name is Stone's River Hunter Education Center, and therefore geared mostly towards hunters, is it ok to shoot animal targets?"

"Yes, Sir, it is."

Hehehehe, chuckles I, with a devious plan in mind. One of these days, I'm going to print off some pictures of Disney's Bambi and use them for targets. :) And, I know it's not the fault of the guys who work there, at least not all of them. One of the range safeties is a big-time NFA guy, and actually officiates the Sub-Gun Walk at Knob Creek every 6 months.

The next thing they'll ban is animal silhouettes, because they don't won't to scare the children.

Why buy targets? copier paper in 8.5X11 or 8.5X17 along with a magic marker works very well for inexpensive targets. I like to draw smiley faces on them :)
