Todd,

Nice looking battle rifle. From the pictures it appears to be a representative example of a late war M1. It does have the early type forged trigger guard which was replaced by a stamped steel type sometime in the spring of 1944. Its equipped with the post war T105E1 rear sight assembly as were most M1 as they went thru depot work. The stock has the post 1953 "winged eagle" acceptance cartouche which could be overstamped on the earlier ordnance cartouche.

Look at the barrel, bolt, operating rod, trigger group, etc., etc. for manufacturer's initials such as SA, WRA, HR, IH.

All in all, I think you got a good one! :lol:
