It looks like I'll be going to the Armorer's class and Instructor Workshop around June 22-25 in Tullahoma. We tried to get one scheduled before but waited too long to get the paperwork in.

I for one am looking forward to a 3.5-hour drive each way, rounding it out to a 16-hour Kool-Aid fest. But it was the closest one in the near future. Maybe it'll give me more time to drink the Glock :stare: on the way there and back from Nashville. Having a glass right now actually, as I take show 'n tell pics of my new 22Gen4... mmm, tasty!

^thats the sign up link, shows the requirements. If your not LE, current or retired military, vendor/dealer, or gssf member I don't think you can sign up for it. Cost is $150, 8hrs, lunch provided.

You are correct.

Learn how to safely use and maintain your weapon in a one day (8 hour) class.

(To be eligible to take the Armorers Course you must be an active law enforcement or military officer, private security,

GLOCK Stocking Dealer/Range Program Employee or current GSSF member.)

The one in Tullahoma is at the Tennessee Correction Academy and will probably have firearm instructors from TDOC as well as some local law enforcement. I'll ask tomorrow how many more slots are open and if it is restricted to law enforcement, military or private security only (I have a feeling it is).

I found out today that TDOC has reserved 17 slots for the Armorer class at Tennessee Correction Academy in Tullahoma. Minimum # needed for the class is 20 and max is 35. One day class $150. Register on line at the Glock site and yes, you must be in one of the categories listed on the registration sheet (law enf., security, etc., etc.)

We have reserved 5 slots for TCA for the Instructor Workshop, need minimum of 8 to hold the class and a max of 20 participants. $350 for 2.5 day lifetime certification.

My supervisor called a few PD and Sheriffs Depts. today so if you know of any agencies interested please have them contact Glock.

Just a guess, it might be that they are waiting to fill the minimum # for the class. Once they have the required number then they may go ahead and charge the card. One of the classes I was registered for was not held because it was not submitted early enough to get attention from agencies and minimums were not met.

well that'll suck if it gets cancelled. guess i'll try and spread the word some more

It isn't going to get cancelled.

We have very few slots open for this round of the instruction. If you're on the fence now is the time to sign up!
