I'm still listening, thanks for the responses.

I use Firefox already, as soon as I turned this new pc on in December and plugged in the interweb I downloaded Firefox. I do have IE but that is because there is a few secure websites that I go to that don't support firefox. They are stupid, but I gots to pay my bills.

What are some good add-ons for Firefox? I already have a few themes and the player.

I haven't gotten into any of the add ons, I have heard of them but never looked into them at all, so I have no clue.

I'm leaning toward the free suite from comcast. It does slow down the machine some, but it gives me a reason to add memory.

here's a few good addons.

1. noscript...it controls what scripts your browser is allowed to use...keeps malicious spyware and adware from running on your browser.

2. forcastfox. this is a great addon that gives you a mini radar map as well as 2 or 3 day weather forcasts..it also puts up a red octagon for severe weather.

there are lots of others...these are the only 2 that I use right now.

you can browse the add ons by going here

I use the the quick launch bar. I just deleted the IE shortcut on that bar.

You also need to set FF as your default browser if you are exclusively using it.

How do I set it as the default?

If I recall correctly, my system asked me, Why are using this one, it's not your default, ya wanna make it? I said yes, so it did.

Or you can go to tools in the Firefox menu, options, Main tab (if not already opened) at the bottom of the box you will see Always check to see if Firefox is your default browser on startup? It will say it is, like mine, but in your case it should say something like, Nope, you want to make it, yes or no.
