TBH, and this is just my opinion, it looks like he may have been trying to help out another TGO member and just got the two of you confused. It may very well be that innocent. He may not have meant to do any harm, especially if he is a new member.

I kinda agree with Broomhead,

While "search" shows no posts by the user, unless he works for or is the owner of the store mentioned I dont see that it would be a big deal.

If you were not the one looking for that gun it could just be a mistake.

I sure hope it isnt a violation as I have PM'ed a few people and even posted in threads about availability of certain guns that I know of here in Jackson, and neither store is a member or vendor here.

I would give the benefit of doubt. And if telling someone where they may find something is a NO NO then someone needs to tell me that before I get in trouble.:wall:

For what its worth, I also got PM from him wanting to buy a Rohrbaught 380. Not sure that anything to do with anything, but thats all I got.

Sounds like he is in the market for a Rohrbaugh, found a good price on one and decided to try and pass it along, only he got confused on who else was in the market.

Sorry, It just seemed odd to me. I thought someone was trying to get around the vendor rules. If it was just a misunderstanding I meant no offense to LHitchens.

He's pissed....

Wow - I just saw this thread --- If I did something wrong I truly apologize. I was, and still am, in the market for an r380. I am an individual, not a dealer. Please tell what I did wrong so as not to do it in the future. Tks, Lee - Knoxville, TN

You didn't really do anything wrong. It just seemed suspicious(understandably) to a couple of people because you don't really have a history of posting on TGO. Sometimes, on some websites, people will join just to advertise items for sale through PM's without posting to the website. Don't worry about it, it sounds like it was just a simple misunderstanding. Stick around and enjoy TGO, and don't be afraid to jump in with some opinions/advice/etc..

Thanks y'all. Do to this site I hooked up with a seller (individual) of a Kimber .45 that I wanted. Turns out the dude lives about 4 miles from me. Again, If I made a mistake I will make every effort to not do it twice. Lee
