Browning Citori over/under question....

When you break down the barrell should the shells eject with enough force to "throw" them over your shoulder and onto the ground?

I have a friend who owns one and he said when you break it down you have to take the spent shells out by hand.

It is a twenty guage if that matters...

Thanks in advance!

My citori is 20+ years old but the ejectors work like a brand new one. Although I've never been around a large group of citoris at once and have only shot a couple in my time and I assumed all were equipped with auto ejectors. Sounds like your friend either has a weak spring somewhere or his model is infact a hand eject model.

Dear Anders:_______

Check out this copy of the Citori owners manual from the Browning website:

http://media.browning.com/pdf/om/citoriplusmanual.pdf

It basically says that Citoris have automatic ejectors that pitch the shells out. He may have a weak (...or broken...) spring somewhere. By the way, i thought they were adjustable -- either lifting the shells like your friends gun; or pitching them out like the manual says.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Leroy

I'm pretty sure you can adjust the ejectors to be auto or manual. Some shooters prefer the manual. This is a common feature on many higher end skeet guns
