Latest Class III: Guesses on Wait Time

How did the system work?

Pretty smooth, all things considered.  It was a little slow, but I doubt ATF has the whiz kids doing web development on the back end.  Also, I was working on it at about 2:30am EST, which is a legitimate time for server updates and general maintenance.

If you have the required info jotted down in front of you, or on an open document to read from as you type, it took me about 10-15 minutes.  Make sure an updated copy of your trust is ready since you have to upload it as an attachment.

This guide from ar15.com helped a lot.  Just take it box by box and you'll be fine.

Just got back a form 4 sent in 1st week of Dec 2013 approved July 4 ......Got back Form 1 sent same day in December and stamped received Dec 11 was approved July 11.  So apparently it is about 7 months.

I sent a form 1 off in december as well. Maybe I'll be getting mine back soon.

ETA: So curiosity got the better of me and I called to check on the status of my form 1. Apparently it has an error on it, but she couldnt tell me what the error was. She said it might be data entry problem and not my fault. She said she would have somebody call me Monday to assist. Hopefully I'll actually get a call and wont have to call them. We will see Monday I guess.

Used eforms to submit Form 1 for my future SBR.  Confirmation email received & $200 tax stamp payment shows as pending in my trust's checking account.

Some of you are going to hate me...Form 1 approved and sent to me via email today. :D

33 days from submission to finish.

Here is a link to a useful site that tracks wait times, for paper and e-filing.  If one elects to put an item into the database, there is a wait time prediction tool.  Good luck!

All of the "current" eFile submissions are under 45 days. Sandra Snook seems to be smoking fast so I hope that is who has mine and not Dana Pickles. Dana had the reputation of being the slowest of all examiners a few years ago.

I didnt get either of those, a lady named Stephanie signed off on mine. How many examiners are there?

Ms. Snook had mine, but I don't think they do it by state anymore.

On my error forms it said I was region 8 so I am assuming the examiners are by state. The forms were issued to the next examiner in line a long time ago but there were concerns over examiners knowing state laws so they assigned examiners to certain states. Now things might have changed back but as of December/January I was in region 8.
