TRADING POST TIPS

Recommended Posts

Items not selling? Irritated because no one looks are your stuff? Wondering why someone else can sell the same item for more then you?

1. ALWAYS HAVE PICTURES (can't stress that enough)

2. If its a long gun always take a picture with the mag/clip/etc installed...looks 100% better...most long guns and sub guns just look strange without their magazine in.

3. Be honest about the condition of the gun.

4. Be honest about the round count(I never keep track so I always say I don't know)

5. Make sure there is good lighting in your picture (quit taking grainy cell phone pics)

6. Take a picture of the whole gun...half and half doesn't cut it

7. Starting to understand the importance of pictures?

8. Clean the d*mn grease and your grubby fingerprints off before you take pictures

9. Price the gun properly...check gunbroker(I don't care what anyone says...its pretty accurate...the books don't adjust enough...once a year doesn't cut it). If you paid too much your stupidity isn't the next person's fault. Also google can be your friend.

10. Subscribe to your for sale thread so you can contact people back in a timely manner...if it takes you 3 days to respond to someone they probably either won't get a good vibe or the emotional part of "i gotta have that" will have faded away.
