I wouldn't think the dies nearly as important as the materials used.

They use mim parts just like springfield. Easily replace those with wilson parts though if you want.

As soon as I get me a job and start making money again I intend to replace several more items with wilson parts.

Just throwing this out there out of curiosity, but what does a basic used Springfield 1911 go for? Something above the mil-spec sights, but doesn't have to be "loaded" by any means.

It isn't on your list and falls a little outside your $500 limit, but I'm sure liking the looks of the Remington offering.

Bud's Gun Shop has one listed for $580 currently, and you no doubt can do a little better than that with a bit of shopping around.

I had saw those, and would definetly consider one if my budget allowed. May end up having to wait until after the holidays to get something anyway, so maybe things will change between now and then.

bought a remington today in nashville 530.00 tax tics out the door .it realy feels nice fit and finish is very good hope it will shoot as good as it looks
