Is the transfer fee usually charged per firearm? Or would it cover everything getting transferred ( as long as its reasonable, say no more than 3)?

Thanks

Background and transfer are done at your local shop. The store you bought from takes care of the sales end. However, there are some shops I've heard of that try to charge sales tax and other fees. Just an FYI, By law you can run up to 5 guns on one background check, given they are transfered at the same time and to the same person.

The whole tax thing has been talked about before and I'm not gonna look it up for you buy technically here in TN you are suppose to pay sales tax for items bought out of state, on-line , on the "honor" system to the state directly if the seller of the item doesn't handle that for you. For your question pertaining to firearms...you should not have to pay sales tax for the cost of the firearm(s) to the dealer who transfered the firearm for you. I do not charge extra for more than one firearm being transfered per each one (1) 4473. Everyone operates differently though.
