just curious as to where people around the knoxville/maryville/loudon area do their shooting other than ranges that you have to pay for. i have a buddy that has a farm that i do a lot of shooting at and the other day i met a man and traded guns with him and we met down near bakers creek boat ramp and shot there. he said it was legal and you could tell that people had been shooting there, but id hate to be there and get hassled. its a wma, but i dont know if that matters.

I shoot out in the backyard too.Just yesterday we shot 'bout 400 rounds of handguns ,two boxes of skeet, sighted in four .22's ,even fired the ol' 91/30 and a 30 aught. It was a fun day of shooting.

Out back. Got a big hole that is supposed to be a pond (don't hold water) that has an island. The island makes a most excellent backstop. At the moment I have a 32" metal door with a bad guy painted on it propped up in front of the island. The BG has a gun in one hand (think it's a 1911) and a knife in the other. :hiding: I keep taping more paper over the center mass once it's full of holes.

It obviously isn't a 1911. Even a painted on 1911 would have killed you dead just by looking at it.

I will admit you have a sweet setup though...

Well, after I shot him I approached the assailant only to discover that the firearm was a plastic 1911 replica airsoft gun. When coroner autopsied what was left of the body he discovered that the assailant was strung out on meth and heroin. Long story short, you were correct, it was not a real 1911. :D

p.s. the knife was real.
