Well I sold my XD-40c today. While I loved that gun it had been in my safe since I bought my Sig SP2022 40. That gun sold me on DA/SA's so I've been looking for a smaller 9mm in the DA/SA and was told that a CZ Rami is the way to go. They are not that easy to find. I was at the fairgrounds gun show today and asked Ken at the Ken's Guns tables if he had a Rami anywhere on his tables and he had never even heard of them.

Well i did some driving after I left the show and found a couple locally. I haven't made the purchase yet but thought that I would ask for opinions here of what you guys think of the CZ Rami 9mm. I haven't seen anything negative yet.

Personally not a fan of the CZ's. Every one I've ever handled felt like it hand sand in it and the triggers were gritty. I personally would get a Sig P239 if u want a good DA/SA 9mm.

I am really surprised that Ken hasn't heard of the Rami. It may be one of the sleepers out there, but I would certainly expect a dealer to at least be aware of it even if he had never carried it.

Have you looked at the Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact line? I have the 9mm and I have been nothing short of impressed with it for its reliability and accuracy, and for between $350 - $400 NIB I don't believe you can beat it.

Believe me, if I could afford the Sig I would not be looking at the CZ. Thanks for your review!

I've never seriously considered the Bersa line. Maybe I'll check those out. I would love to hear more opinions of both the Rami and the Bersa now.

I bought a CZ Rami early last year and have put about 200 rounds downrange with it. Personally, I like it. Very accurate, smaller than a Glock 19, and maybe a touch more felt recoil than the G19. It is about the same width as the glock, but shorter in length and height. If you have small-to medium hands, its a real good fit. For larger hands, its a bit small.

Haven't shot enough to say it would be a great carry gun, but I would consider it with further use and getting used to it. With its size, I prefer a owb holster/belt slide, but that's just me.

You might want to check out the Ruger SR9c.

I went with the Baretta Px4 Storm SC. It is a little wider than most SC's but it does not bother me.

The Rami is considered by many to be one of the best carry pistols out there. CZ always makes an outstanding product. As far as the gritty triggers, they smooth out, just like any other gun. I've yet to find a handgun that fit my hand as well as my P-01 did.

If it is as good as I hope it is then I may have to add the 40 cal to my "family" also but that won't be too soon.
