Just sent in my application for a c&r. I was looking to get a mosin and even got the go-ahead from the dear wife, but while I had it all arranged to buy it and pay someone a transfer fee. I thought back to the day I first thought of getting my C&R. I think that the money I'm saving on this first deal will be nearly the same as the app. fee. It's a win, win. I get a gun without the transferring and TICS, plus leaves it open for future ones. Kind of like icing on the cake. So with all this the long wait has began.

You can also get dealer pricing at midwayusa, brownells, etc. with a C&R. I save enough through my online purchases to justify the C&R. You just have to send your FFL information to the online dealers - they all have a different process to follow.

Dont fool yourself. Having a C&R will only cost you money. Lots of it.

A C&R is like a boat...hole in the water you pour money in. But...but...but...HONEY...I NEED this!! I don't have to pay that awful fee!

It's been mentioned in threads before, but for the life of me I can't seem to locate them. So this question goes out to all the experienced C&R licensees; what are some of the better C&R dealers and which companies out there that give "dealer discounts and/or incentives" to us lowly C&R holders? I"m all giddy about buying some stuff!

I've had my C&R for several years. I've never bought a C&R gun with it, but I've saved several hundred $ with my discount from MidwayUSA.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link so do a google search on "The Ultimate C&R Dealer/Distributor list". I've got the best discounts from MidwayUSA, Brownells is second if Midway doesn't have what I want. But their prices are higher and the discounts are less. At least that's been my experience.

Aim has good stuff. Other benefit is you can buy off individuals from other forums. Gunboards IMO seems to be the standard that most individuals sell their guns on. I personally check site 2-3 times a day. Buying from dealers pretty much limits you to current imports which does not seem to be much any more. Buying from individuals who bought "back in the day" opens up a whole lot more oportunities to buy interesting stuff. Just gotta be quick as the good deals get snapped up very quickly.

ok guys, I have my C&R filled out .what else do I need to mail in with it? Fingerprint card, prof of citizenship? besides the $30.00.

There should be a set of instructions telling you what to send in...
